This advanced course on cross-cultural communication uses and builds on the vocabulary and concepts introduced in the Basic Competences course. In this course you will deepen your awareness of your own communication patterns and gain knowledge about others, and you will learn to anticipate to other people's expectations.
Each session starts with a brief introduction after which you will watch a video presentation with pictures or text and audio narration (language (4:30'); body language (2:39'); communication patterns, translating and interpreting (9:42'). At the end of the course you will receive an assignment. You will be asked to assess your own preferred patterns of communication and reflect on those of others, and to assess concrete situations you encounter in your job or everyday life.
Most people take around 1 to 1,5 hours to complete this course (15 parts).
